Engagement path

A clear path from first call to written recommendations

Franchise readiness consulting works best when founders know what happens each week. This page maps the path we use across assessments and related consultations.

Six stages of an Orchard Hub engagement

Timings vary by consultation, but the sequence stays steady so documents, interviews, and decisions stay organised.

  1. Intake call

We confirm industry, site count, franchise timeline, and which consultation fits. You leave with a document checklist — P&Ls, manuals, brand guidelines, and any prior franchise enquiries.

  2. Proposal and deposit

A written scope lists deliverables, fees, travel assumptions, and dates. A deposit holds the discovery workshop on the calendar.

  3. Discovery workshop

Half-day sessions with founders and key managers surface how the business really runs: labour patterns, supplier habits, customer recovery, and support load.

  4. Deep-dive review

We examine documents and interview role holders. For fee reviews we build unit-level models; for manuals we map role-based procedures; for readiness assessments we score five pillars.

  5. Written deliverable

You receive a report, blueprint draft, or fee model with prioritised recommendations. Internal quality checks happen before you see the draft.

  6. Briefing and next steps

We walk through findings and help you decide whether to pause, fix gaps, commission a related consultation, or prepare for a pilot franchisee.

What we ask you to prepare

  • Site-level profit and loss for the last twelve months
  • Current operations notes, even if incomplete
  • Brand and customer experience standards
  • Names of managers who should join discovery
  • Honest view of how much time you can give franchisees

Where this path leads

Most clients begin with the Franchise Readiness Assessment. Others enter through fee modelling or manual work when a specific gap is already known. Pilot coaching usually follows once a first franchise territory is committed.
